BJPsych Bulletin seeking new Editor-in-Chief

The College’s BJPsych Bulletin journal is seeking a new Editor-in-Chief.

BJPsych Bulletin prioritises research, opinion and informed reflection on the state of psychiatry, management of psychiatric services, and education and training in psychiatry.

It provides essential reading and practical value to psychiatrists, and anyone involved in the management and provision of mental healthcare.

About the role

The Editor-in-Chief's role is to be responsible to the College for the content and development of BJPsych Bulletin.

They will be responsible for the content of the journal and the strategy for its future direction.

Specifically, this will involve overall responsibility for the peer review process; planning and selection of content; commissioning articles; overseeing the work of the Editorial Board and taking responsibility for the scientific accuracy and validity of the content.

The role is for a five-year term, subject to review after a year and renewable by mutual agreement for a second five-year term.

About the journal

The journal is an open access journal, peer-reviewed journal owned by the Royal College of Psychiatrists (RCPsych) with print copies currently provided to RCPsych members as a membership benefit.

The journal is published bimonthly by Cambridge University Press on behalf of the College. There are no submission or publications charges to authors.
