College commended

The College has been honoured with several awards this autumn.

Three RCPsych resources were successful in this year’s BMA Patient Information Awards.

Our resources on children's social services and safeguarding and perinatal OCD were ‘Highly Commended’ and our resource on postpartum psychosis for carers was ‘Commended’.

These resources – which encompass online and offline materials – are accessible via our website’s ‘Mental health’ section and are part of a wider series designed to support patients, families and wider stakeholders around key mental health issues.

The RCPsych’s mental health resources are the only resources available in the UK which are written by psychiatrists and developed in consultation with patients and carers.

BMA president, Professor Raanan Gillon, presented the awards at a reception at BMA House on Tuesday 10 September.

Meanwhile the College’s website has won the Silver award in the worldwide W3 Awards scheme in the ‘Best Association Website’ category.

The site was relaunched in November 2019, with a mobile friendly design, shorter sharper content and a brighter, bolder new look.

We will be launching an online survey next month – a year later – to get user feedback about our website.
