International Congress 2021 - Welcome Message
18 December, 2020
Registration is now open for our first ever virtual RCPsych International Congress where you will have the opportunity to engage with fellow psychiatrists, attend keynote lectures from world renown speakers, choose from over 60 cutting edge sessions and earn up to 22 CPD points all in just one click.
The Congress will be hosted on a new virtual platform, one that provides an immersive and interactive experience. All content will be available on demand for you to view up to two months after the event. This means you will have the opportunity to watch not just some, but all of those sessions of interest to you, a benefit you missed out on in our previous format.
We have a phenomenal line-up of keynote speakers already confirmed, covering neuroscience, culture, politics, clinical psychiatry, and social aspects of mental health. New this year there will be opportunities to interact with the plenary speakers in additional ‘lobby question and answer’ sessions. Read more about our fantastic line up of keynote speakers here and keep an eye out for more to be announced soon.
Over the four days of the congress, we hope to enthuse you with a programme that features not just world-class academics and clinicians, but also those with lived experience, their families and opinion leaders from the social and political sphere. We hope to have the full programme available at the start of next year and do watch out for a series of events on the ‘Congress Fringe’, another innovation this year.
There are more welcome additions. More presenters than before will also have the chance to present their work in rapid fire poster sessions as well as presenting their posters online in virtual e-posters. Abstract submissions will open in January so get thinking about how you can contribute.
We are working hard to ensure our first virtual Congress will not only maintain our high standards but build on them further and very much hope to see you there. We will of course miss coming together in one place but have innovative plans to make the most of the opportunities a virtual meeting presents. We thank you for your continued support of the International Congress, which makes it one of the most prestigious events in the mental health calendar. Please book now to take advantage of our early bird rates which will be available until the 28 February.
