Dr Rosemary Gordon is the current co-secretary of the Psychiatric training committee (PTC). The PTC is a committee of trainee representatives from across the UK and is elected by local trainees in each division. She has been a member of the PTC since 2018, and organised the Scotland National CT1 welcome event this year. She was elected as co-secretary in September 2019.
Dr Gordon graduated from Edinburgh University in 2012 undertaking her foundation training in NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde. Following this she completed her GP training in South East Scotland achieving her MRCGP in 2017 and then worked as a GP locum while also doing a staff grade post in psychiatry. Eventually deciding psychiatry was where she really wanted to work she went back into training in August 2018. She is currently a CT2 in South East Scotland and is the PTC representative on the RCPsych Scottish Devolved Council.
Outwith psychiatry she spends her time competing with her local pipeband and has her associate membership of the British Association of Teacher's of Dance.
