Help for people in need
Most of us look forward to Christmas but for people living with
mental illness it can be a very challenging time of year. Many feel
lonely and isolated from family and friends and others may be
anxious about social situations or have worries about money
problems or debt.
Each day leading up to Christmas the college has been
highlighting a different mental health resource from our site,
which we hope will provide help and support not just for now, but
throughout 2018 and beyond.
So far – through the website and social media – we’ve
highlighted resources relating to depression, seasonal affective
disorder, bi-polar disorder, anxiety, schizophrenia and alcohol
addiction, among others.
Members can help raise awareness of the calendar by sharing on
social media, or even getting a link to the
calendar posted on their employer’s intranet.
