New College President

Dr Wendy Burn has been announced as the winner of the Presidential elections and will take over from our current President, Professor Sir Simon Wessely in June.


Theresa May’s speech

The Prime Minister announced a series of measures to improve mental health support in our school, workplaces and communities. The College’s response was featured on BBC news during the PM’s speech.


School is bad for your mental health

600 school pupils attended the College’s 2016 Annual debate for Young People before Christmas, where two teams of psychiatrists debated whether school plays host to a toxic environment or is the solution to childhood mental illness.


Response to the NHS 5YFV

An overview of the Government’s response to the Five Year Forward View for Mental Health assessed against the College priorities for the Strategy.


College in Politics

Jeremy Hunt discusses the long-term sustainability of the NHS before the Lords Committee and the Royal Colleges hold an “emergency summit” to tackle the shocking rises in A&E attendances.
