Regional Advisors and Specialty Representatives

Regional Advisors, Deputy Regional Advisors and Regional Specialty Representatives are senior College positions that represent the College on all matters relating to postgraduate education, professional development and the review and approval of appropriate job descriptions in psychiatric posts.

Lists of vacancies for these positions can be found on our Devolved Nation and Divisions pages.

Members holding these positions are also expected to become College Assessors, representing the College on AAC consultant interview panels, providing a crucial link to the workforce intelligence held by the College.

Appointment Process

The Chair of the Division or Devolved Nation is responsible for recommending the appointment of Regional Advisors, Deputy Regional Advisors and Regional Specialty Representatives; final approval is given by the Education and Training Committee.

Selection is usually done via the submission of a current CV. If a selection interview is required, this should be conducted by the Division or Devolved Nation Chair.
