BJPsych Bulletin correspondence editor

The BJPsych Bulletin is looking for a new correspondence editor.

The correspondence editor will support the journal as a member of the Editorial Board.

He or she will be responsible for the correspondence column and e-letters section, making sure that letters are of interest to the Bulletin’s readership, engaging and free from inappropriate or libellous comments. Legal advice can be taken via the College if necessary.

The role will involve making decisions on submitted letters and editing letters. The post-holder will also make decisions on when to invite a College response to a letter, and author responses to correspondence on their articles.

He or she will need to keep records of editorial decisions made, and, if required, provide a rationale.
