Apply to become a Trainee Editor or Neuroscience Trainee Editor for Trainees Online

We are currently inviting applications from trainees who are passionate about education and who wish to gain experience in online publishing. The trainee taking up the Trainee Editor role will have the opportunity to work on modules from the breadth of the MRCPsych syllabus, while the Neuroscience Trainee Editor will focus on development of the neuroscience aspects of modules in line with the revised neuroscience syllabus. The successful candidate will be able to take on a hands-on approach while working remotely from anywhere in the UK or the Republic of Ireland. They will work alongside our existing Trainee Editors, Genevieve Holt and Amy Manley.

 

Who can apply?

Applicants for the trainee editor role should have successfully completed all MRCPsych examinations. Applications from trainees who have not yet passed the MRCPsych examinations will be accepted for the neuroscience trainee editor role provided they have a sound knowledge of and an interest in modern neuroscience, preferably gained from study or research outside of that undertaken in Core Training.

How can I apply?

Please submit a cover letter stating which role you are interested in and explaining why you are interested and what you will bring to the role (no more than 500 words) and a brief CV (no more than 3 pages). Shortlisted candidates will be invited to complete a short task and attend an interview at the College in London on 25 July 2018. If it is not possible for you to attend the interview, please indicate this in your cover letter as we may be able to conduct a telephone or video-link interview.
