Changes to the HTAS accreditation process

15 July 2015

Services currently accredited by CCQI schemes can be 'accredited' or 'accredited as excellent'.  As of January 2016, the CCQI will stop the award of 'excellent'.  This will apply to teams seeking accreditation after that date, and to teams going through the process at that time.  Teams who have been awarded 'excellent' before that date may keep the award for the usual period.  Although services will no longer be accredited as excellent, the CCQI is continuing to look at how very good practice can be recognised and commended.  Members will be kept up to date with any further developments.
