Media centre
Press Office
The RCPsych press office help manage our external communications and can provide journalists with information and comment on a wide range of issues relating to psychiatry, mental health and the work of the College.
We have plenty of media-friendly psychiatrists willing to talk about their specialist areas.
Advice for members on working with the media
We have issued guidance for College members on working with the media.
Press releases
All of our press releases are available on our latest news page (choose the 'Press release' option from the 'Filter by' drop-down menu).
Documentary and film requests
Please download and complete our filming request form returning it to press@rcpsych.ac.uk along with your proof of commission and we will respond to your request as soon as we can.
Where possible, the Royal College of Psychiatrists will always endeavour to support media work that could benefit the lives of people living with mental illness. However, due to the sheer number of media enquiries we receive, we can only work on projects that have received a definite broadcast commission.
