Our two eNewsletters contain all the latest goings-on from across the College, including stories from our Faculties, Divisions and Devolved Nations, as well as College initiatives such as CCQI, NCCMH and more.

We aim to send the main eNewsletter on the last Thursday of every month, with the shorter Members' update going out on the second Thursday.

New patient resources on schizoaffective disorder, schizophrenia and psychosis launched

We’ve published updates of our schizophrenia and schizoaffective disorder patient information resources, and a brand new resource on psychosis.

These resources were written with the valuable input of people with lived experience, and we hope they will be helpful to people with these conditions, and their friends and family.

Our President Dr Lade Smith CBE chaired a round table discussion last week on how we can best meet the needs of women in PICUs.

Former RCPsych President wins Pelicier prize

Professor Dinesh Bhugra CBE has been awarded the prestigious Yves Pelicier prize for his lifetime contribution to social psychiatry and championing the human rights of people with mental health disorders.

Professor Bhugra, who was RCPsych President during 2008-2011, said the award was especially important because it “reflects how social psychiatry can improve patients’ lives and outcomes”.
