service quality and accreditation projects

Our quality and accreditation projects work cover a number of different types of services and work with them to improve standards through a process of regular peer  and self review.  Some projects also provide accreditation.  For information on what accreditation means, please see our information sheet.

CCQI "accreditation" is the formal recognition of a service against clinical service standards using external peer review.  The United Kingdom Accreditation Service defines this as "certification".
