PLAN standards
The PLAN standards provide a clear and comprehensive description of best practice in liaison psychiatry services.
Our standards are based on the available literature and extensive consultation with staff, patients and carers with experience in liaison psychiatry.
The PLAN standards are revised every two years. The seventh edition of standards were published in August 2022.
All PLAN member services are reviewed against the core standards for liaison psychiatry services, and there is an additional Children and Young People section included for those who see this group.
