Nominations for National Honours

Find out how to nominate someone for a National Honour. The College‘s Nominations Committee, which is chaired by the President, meets regularly to discuss nominations for national honours. This Committee tries to increase the number of National Honours awarded both to psychiatrists and to other individuals who have made a significant contribution to mental health.

The College opens the call for entries in late January each year and will submit up to six nominations per year.

The Cabinet Office has a very useful website describing the procedure for nominations.

Please note, nominees must still be active. Those who've retired can't be nominated.

    How to nominate

If you know someone who might be suitable, please send a recent copy of their CV along with a short citation about why they are deserving of a National Honour (no more than 1000 words) to MembershipServices@rcpsych.ac.uk.
