How to use

What are you looking for today? There are different ways to use the online resources depending on what you need to find:

  • To find a journal select the 'Journals' tab and type the name of the journal
  • To run a simple search for an article or subject use the 'Search All' tab
  • For more in depth research we recommend choosing a specific database so you can take advantage of it's full search functionality

OpenAthens

We use OpenAthens to authenticate access for members and you will need an RCPsych OpenAthens account to login and use any of the resources.

If you don’t have an account please email or call the Library and we can set one up for you straight away.

Asylum: The Radical Mental Health Magazine

Asylum magazine provides a forum for free debate, open to anyone with an interest in psychiatry or mental health. It especially welcomes contributions from service users or ex-users (or survivors), carers, as well as frontline psychiatric or mental health workers.

Members have online access.

Can’t find what you need?

For any articles you cannot access, email the library.

Similarly, we also regularly review our online subscriptions and are always looking for recommendations, so please email us any feedback you have.
