This joint Faculty event will look at transitions and interfaces between the age range.

General Adult Psychiatry has the highest level of consultant vacancies for any psychiatric speciality across Scotland. There is a relentless increase in demand, public expectations that are hard to fulfil and sub-specialities that feel increasing appealing to trainees coming through. Times are tough! Join us in a debate on whether General Adult Psychiatry has a future as a speciality in the NHS in Scotland.

We will also be hosting a workshop looking at nationwide consensus on transitions, along with our Older Adult colleagues.  Come with your examples of patient transfers from GA to OA, especially the challenges.
