Dean's Quarterly Update

October 2023

Dear members,

Welcome to the College’s third Dean’s Quarterly Update email!

I have been highlighting that as Dean I am responsible for education, training and workforce.

My team and I have been working hard to ensure that RCPsych’s training and education offer upskills the workforce in areas of clinical need.

This update, therefore, includes reflections on the recently ended Eating Disorders Credential Pilot, an update on progress towards the College’s first ever International Diploma launching next year and an introduction to the new Psychiatric Trainees Committee Officers, as well as much, much more.

We’re also delighted to announce the launch of this year’s Choose Psychiatry campaign, which is now starting its second week. Information about the award-winning campaign and how you can engage with it this year is below.

I hope you find this Quarterly Update useful, and feel like I do, that we’re making great progress in many important areas. Do get in touch and let me know how I and my team are doing – I would love to know what we are doing well and where we could do better.

Best wishes,

Professor Subodh Dave, Dean, RCPsych
