**The Japanese Society of Psychiatry and NEUrology (JSPN) Fellowship award**

JSPN is now accepting applications for the JSPN Fellowship Award, which is presented to early-career psychiatrists from around the world. The purpose of this award is to recognize early-career, outstanding psychiatrists and encourage academic discussion and personal friendships with early-career Japanese psychiatrists at the 113th annual meeting of the JSPN on June 22nd-24th, 2017, in Nagoya, Japan. As the UK Member of the World Psychiatric Association, the College can nominate 2 UK members for this Fellowship. To be considered for applicants must be a psychiatrists younger than 40 or with 10 years or less experience in psychiatry, not be a previous recipients of the JSPN Fellowship Award and be a member of the RCPsych (all membership grades) based in the UK.

Those wishing to be considered for nomination by the RCPsych should submit their abstract and personal information form (see JSPN website for details) to Elen Cook by Sunday 16th October 2016. The RCPsych International Advisory Committee will select the 2 RCPsych nominees for this Fellowship and will provide a signed nomination form to the successful applicants.

The British Government is urging all UK citizens not to travel to Syria for humanitarian or any other purpose and the Department of Health have written to all Royal Colleges about this matter.
