West Division:
The North West Division
of the Royal College of Psychiatrists covers Greater Manchester,
Cumbria, Lancashire, Cheshire and Merseyside.
Members in North West
Division are supported by a strong, committed Executive Committee
which meets quarterly.
The Executive Committee
has an active academic programme and hosts two academic conferences
each year. In addition to the academic theme one conference
incorporates the AGM and a trainee competition. Notification
of conferences and trainee competitions are posted on the
webpage.
The Executive Committee
encourage members to engage with the College locally, they welcome
comments and suggestions from the wider membership and any member
wishing to contact the Executive Committee can do so via the
Division Office.
North West Division are
committed to promoting psychiatry, actively taking an interest in
local medical schools, in particular local psychiatric
societies. Medical students are encouraged to attend events
and conferences organised by the Division.
Service users and carer
input is important to the Division. This group are
represented on the Executive Committee and are also encouraged to
attend Division conferences.

elections and job vacancies are provided to members at the
beginning of each year in a New Year Bulletin which is published
jointly with Northern and Yorkshire Division. Copies of the
