Taking a role on the Executive Committee
The North West's Executive Committee are always looking for new members! Being a member of the Exec will help you expand your network of professional contacts, shape the service the College provides to members in the region, and will be a lot of fun too.

Attending an event or training session
The Divisions team works hard to provide great events and training sessions at which you can gain CPD points, keep your knowledge up to date and network with other members, carers and patient representatives in the region.

Contributing to the Division's news updates or speaking at an event
We'd love to hear from Division members who'd like to contribute an article to our news updates or speak at one of our events. If you'd like to, please email northwest@rcpsych.ac.uk.
Nominating someone for a North West Award
If you're aware of a psychiatrist, carer or patient in the North West who deserves recognition, nominate them for one of our prestigious North West Awards. Nominations open in May and close at the start of October, with finalists invited to a special awards event in November.

Competitions for Medical Students, Foundation Doctors, Trainees and SAS Doctors
Each year the North West Division runs a poster competition for Medical Students, Foundation Doctors, Trainees and SAS Doctors at either the Spring or Autumn Conference.
There are 3 winning categories which include:
- Best Medical Student/FY1 Poster
- Best FY2/CT1-3 Trainee Poster
- Best Higher Trainee/SAS Doctor Poster
Each winner will receive a £100 prize and a certificate of merit.
Taking part in our mentoring scheme
The North West, in partnership with the Northern and Yorkshire Division, runs a successful and well used mentoring scheme. Whether you'd be willing to use your experience and skills and become a mentor, or you'd benefit from having a mentor, we'd love to hear from you.

Representing the Division at the annual Mindmasters quiz
Each year the Division takes part in the Mindmasters quiz, which began in 2022. If you enjoy quizzes and would like to take part in the team, we'd love to hear from you. Contact northwest@rcpsych.ac.uk for more information.
