  • 15 June - We held our annual Psychiatrists in Training Summer Meeting. Focus this year on 'out of programme experiences'
  • 20 May - We welcomed the Commission to review the provision of acute inpatient psychiatric care for adults. The final report for Northern Ireland will be launched in June
  • 18 May - RCPsychNI hosted the joint CAMHS meeting with the Ulster Paediatric Society. A very successful conference on 'Neuropsychiatry in Partnership' with keynote speaker Professor Mary Robertson - a leading authority in the study of Gilles de la Tourette syndrome

  • 9 May - NI Mental Capacity Bill receives Royal Assent and is now the Mental Capacity Act (Northern Ireland) 2016
  • 22 April - Excellent meeting of the General Adult Faculty today with speakers on the Care Pathways Model, physical health and a mock mental health review tribunal
  • 18 April - RCPsychNI attended NICVA's 2016 Programme for Government event. Insight into how to influence for the benefit of mental health services
  • 11 April - RCPsychNI attended NICVA Voluntary & Community Sector hustings event with 4 of 5 main parties represented. Support from representatives for Mental Health Champions

  • 31 March - RCPsychNI congratulates AWARE on an excellent conference focussed on wellbeing in the workplace. 'Depression - What Works' included talks from Dr Diana Day-Cody and Terry Waite
