A welcome note from the Co-chairs
With a projected attendance of 2,500
delegates from more than 50 different countries, The International
Congress of the Royal College of Psychiatrists is one of the
biggest events in the annual mental health conference calendar.
In 2015, from the 29th of June to the 2nd
of July, the Congress comes to the city of Birmingham, UK.
From day 1 which features Professor Sir
Simon Wessley, the President of the Royal College of Psychiatrists,
Professor Renne Binder, the President of the American Psychiatric
Association and Professor Diana Rose, the World’s first Professor
of Service User Research in one interesting keynote session, the
conference will have over 100 hours of academic programmes arranged
as keynotes and parallel sessions, interspersed with time for
networking and socialising.
Speakers and presenters over the 3 ½ days
of the conference will include academics, physicians,
psychiatrists, patients, service users, carers, psychologists,
social scientists, policy makers, writers and journalists.
It promises to be a veritable treat of
lectures, workshops, symposia and discussions on the pressing
mental health issues of our time- an ideal conference if you want
to network, listen, learn, challenge and be challenged by the
latest developments in the field.
