Welcome to the General and Community Psychiatry Faculty website. This is the largest Faculty within the College and it encompasses a range of specialities. This site aims to provide essential information about ongoing work within the Faculty, particularly at a time of great change within Mental Health Services.

• College Elections - Online Voting 

  The College has now introduced online voting in all College elections. You will now have the option to register your vote electronically directly with the Electoral Reform Services, rather than having to complete and post a hard copy ballot paper (although of course you can still vote by post if you prefer). It is hoped that this will make it easier for people to vote, and will encourage greater participation in College elections.Full information about online voting is sent out with the ballot papers. Please keep an eye open for your next opportunity to vote, and try out the quick and easy online option. 

• Faculty Executive Committee election results

  The results of the recent Faculty elections are:

• Recent publications

  • CR105 ‘Patients as parents’ has been revised by a working group led by Carol Henshaw, and the updated document has now been published as CR164. 

  • A review of the British research evidence for recovery (papers published between 2006 and 2009) has just been published in the Journal of Psychiatric and Mental Health Nursing:

    • Part 1 Peer reviewed literature

    • Part 2 Grey literature

   

• Evaluators required for the assessment of Certificate of Eligibility for (CESR) applications
