Dr Neha Bansal

Dr Bansal is a consultant psychiatrist managing an inpatient intellectual disability ward in Forth Valley. Having done a placement with the mental welfare commission in Scotland, this further sparked an interest in human rights and mental health, in particular the rights of people with intellectual disability.
Dr Bansal is part of the legislative oversight forum (LOF) and within that has contributed towards the RCPsychiS response to the LDAN bill consultation, Human Rights bill consultation and AWIA consultation.
Her additional research interests include neurodevelopmental disorders and gambling/gaming disorder.
