Previously, Aiman delivered co-production and Expert by Experience projects in mental health, including leading a landmark schizophrenia and quality-of-life report, and supporting a Patient Public Involvement and Engagement Project to make risk assessments more collaborative in secure care services.
Aiman holds a First Class BSc in Social Sciences with an award-winning dissertation on the role of 'honour' and 'shame' in British South Asian Communities' access to mental health services. She also advises on professional training resources to better support people with intersectional identities who are currently in eating disorder treatment.
