Dr Czarina Kirk
Chair, Faculty of Neuropsychiatry
Dr Czarina Kirk is a Consultant Neuropsychiatrist at the Forensic Brain Injury Service at Guild Lodge, Lancashire and South Cumbria NHS Trust, in Preston, UK. She is a Fellow of the Royal College of Psychiatrists and Chair of the Faculty Neuropsychiatry. Dr Kirk has been involved in a number of projects including Quality Network for Neuropsychiatry, integrating mental health care in neurology and neuro-rehabilitation, training and curriculum reviews to include neuropsychiatric conditions.
Dr Kirk is an affiliate member of the Neurology Clinical Reference Group in the UK, ensuring that mental health pathways were incorporated in neurology service specifications. She is a member of the strategy team of the ABI Justice Network – sub-group of the ABI All Party Parliamentary Group. She is passionate about collaborating with stakeholders including patient and carers, voluntary and charitable sector organisations and Justice partners by involving herself in various associated committees.
Dr Kirk supports the strategy of the Faculty of Neuropsychiatry in ensuring patients have equitable access to neuropsychiatry; that patients with neurological conditions have access to integrated mental health care and that the training and education in neuropsychiatric conditions is available to the mental health and neurology workforce.
