Dr Nita Agarwal

Hello! I am Dr Nita Agarwal, currently working as a child and adolescent consultant psychiatrist and associate medical director for CFYP service. Outside my normal working hours I am also involved with a charity organisation called BIPA promoting and supporting their ethos when time permits.

I have been RCPsych Eastern Division EC member for a few years now, initially supporting the division taking the role of newsletter editor and now as a Well-being Champion. I am quite passionate about respecting, valuing and being non-judgemental. I am also very keen for people, for each one of us to think about self-care as well as looking after each other both at work as well as outside which is very much needed for our health and general wellbeing.

I have taken this role of Wellbeing Champion to create a space for the members of my Division where it’s easy to talk, pause and breathe without the worry of being judged. I would like to ask members to reach out to me if you think I could be of any help, if you need any support, if you need a pair of listening ears or any advice on any resources.
