Emily Cannon

Head of Quality Improvement

Emily is Head of Quality Improvement (QI) in the NCCMH and has worked to improve patient care for over ten years. Emily was part of the team that set up the NCCMH’s QI work in 2018, coaching frontline teams for three years, before becoming Head of QI in 2021.  

Prior to joining the NCCMH, Emily worked in the RCPsych’s College Centre for Quality Improvement and the London Ambulance Service NHS Trust in clinical audit. 

Emily is passionate about improvement in health and social care. Emily’s brother Andrew, who is autistic and has a learning disability, is her reason for and continuous inspiration for working in this field. For the past six years, Emily has been a trustee and sibling representative on the board of the Rathbone Society, a charity that supports adults with a learning disability in Lambeth, London.
