Jan Giles
Patient Rep, ECTAS, Royal College of Psychiatrists
Jan joined the College as a patient rep working on ECTAS in April 2024.
From September 1990 until March 2024 Jan worked in the NHS in a variety of management roles in hospitals and commissioning organisations. Her career included 8 years as Head of Primary Care in Huddersfield.
Jan has had three episodes of mental health inpatient admission - in 1989, 1999 and 2016-17. It was in 2017 that Jan received a course of ECT.
