Susannah Whitwell

Dr Whitwell is a general adult psychiatrist. She has worked in the National Adult Autism and ADHD Service since 2011 and up to July 2025 had a leadership role in the management of adult neurodevelopmental services at South London and Maudsley.

She continues to work clinically in adult ADHD and autism diagnosis and management in the NHS and privately she is co-founder and director the Effra Clinic. She provides training in adult neurodevelopmental conditions nationally and internationally and she has contributed to research in this field.
