Nick Puts

Dr Nick Puts is a Reader in Sensory Neuroscience at King's College London. Nick is a cognitive neuroscientist by training and is himself neurodivergent. His work focuses on understanding the biology and impact of sensory differences in autism, and other neurodevelopmental conditions, across the lifespan.

His work has shown that autistic people have fundamental differences in how their brain processes sensory input, which subsequently contribute to sensory overload, and mental health difficulties. His work is informed by working closely with the autistic community.
