Sarah Michaels

General Practitioner at Kent Community Health NHS Foundation Trust, Committee Member at British Association for Neurodiversity

Former raver, actor, secretary, personal trainer and Starlight Express fan turned GP, now aptly working in neurodevelopmental services.

Sarah is a committee member of B4ND and writes and teaches on B4ND’s courses.

She still loves dance music, fitness and Starlight Express, (she does not love admin), but has realised that she needs a pension, and to help improve the future for kids like hers.

She works with neurodivergent children and adults in the NHS and privately.

She would love for healthcare to join up brain and body more than it has in the past.

She hopes that neurodevelopmental services will be more integrated across primary and secondary care, with holistic MDTs, fewer barriers because of ‘complexity’, and easier collaboration with education, employment, social care and the criminal justice system.
