We welcome Dr Bob Barber, Consultant Old Age Psychiatrist and Honorary Clinical Senior Lecturer Newcastle University, as our speaker for this webinar.
Dr Barber has an interest in clinical trials (including trials with monoclonal antibody therapies (bapineuzumab, crenezumab, solanezumab, gantenerumab, and aducanumab) as well as trials using novel small molecules, repurposed medications, cholinesterase inhibitors, and memantine. He is a member of Project Working Group for NHS Commissioning group to develop a NHS England Template Clinical Commissioning Statement for Lecanemab.
Other roles include TPD for Old Age Psychiatry and Finance Officer for Faculty, Chair of our Trust’s Medical Staff Committee, and I support our Trust’s International Fellowship Programme.
Previously he was NIHR-DeNDRoN Speciality Lead for North Cumbria and North-East, Industry Lead for Dementia (DeNDRoN), member of the NC-NE LCRN Executive Committee, Regional Advisor for the Northern Division and GMC Health Assessor.
