Event Information

The webinar, as part of the Dean's Grand Rounds, will explore the essential role of spirituality in mental health care. Recognising that spiritual beliefs and practices often shape patients' experiences of illness, suffering, and recovery, we will aim to equip clinicians with practical tools to take a compassionate, culturally sensitive spiritual history.

We will share patient stories, highlight validated frameworks, ethical considerations, and clinical case examples to demonstrate how spirituality can inform diagnosis, treatment panning, and therapeutic rapport.

By integrating the spiritual dimension, we hope clinicians can deliver more holistic, person-centred psychiatric care that respects patients' values, enhances well-being, and improves treatment outcomes.
