Resident Doctors' in Specialty Training Spring 2026 welcome event

We would like to welcome new Resident Doctors' in Specialty Training to the College by hosting a Welcome Event.

With the aim to help resident doctors' in Speciality Training with their transition to the next stage of training, this event provides an overview of the role of the College, the future of training and a chance to hear from College officers and members and ask questions. 

This event is aimed at ST4s but other resident doctors who may find updates and wider future of psychiatry training helpful are welcome to attend. Those in their final year of core training are also welcome to attend for a wider view of specialty training.

The programme is being finalised but will feature talks on:

• Welcome to the College
• The Psychiatric Resident Doctors' Committee (PRDC)
• Library Resources
• Special Interest Groups (SIGs)
• eLearning - the best of
• ePortfolio
• The Leadership & Management Fellowship Scheme
• The Curriculum
• Less Than Full Time Training.

The event is taking place online via Zoom. To take part you will need:

• access to a reliable internet connection
• a PC, laptop, tablet or phone
• Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge browser or Zoom installed on your PC, laptop, tablet or phone.

You do not need to have a Zoom account to attend.

Some users may experience difficulty joining Zoom meetings due to security settings. If this is the case, we suggest you select the option to join via a web browser, rather than the Zoom app. If you cannot join on your computer you can still join on your phone.
