RCPsych in Scotland Addictions Faculty Conference 2026

Event Information
Programme
This year’s conference, titled “At the Cutting Edge of Addictions” will bring together clinicians, researchers, and third‑sector partners to explore emerging trends, lived‑experience perspectives, and innovations in treatment.
Our programme will include sessions on:
- Patterns of stimulant misuse, including benzodiazepine harms and recent insights into cocaine use in Argentina
- The lived experiences of people and families affected by addiction, with contributions from Scottish Families Affected by Alcohol and Drugs (SFAD)
- Alcohol‑related brain injury
- The intersection of physical health and addictions.
We have also invited Maree Todd, Minister for Drugs and Alcohol Policy and Sport, to offer opening remarks to set the context for the day, although this is still to be confirmed.
We hope you can join us on the day.
