RCPsych in Scotland Working Retired Psychiatrists Group Meeting 2026

We are delighted to have Dr Simon Wilson join us to tell us about his role as clinical lead for the Fixated Threat Assessment Centre (FTAC), the joint mental health and police team concerned with managing the risk posed by fixated (usually mentally ill) individuals towards particular public figures (mostly, British politicians and Royal Family).

The meeting will be held at the Apex Waterloo Place in Edinburgh. Conveniently located at the East end of Princes Street, the hotel is just 5 minutes walk from Edinburgh Waverley Station and tram/bus transport links. 

Whilst the hotel does not provide any parking, there are limited spaces outside the venue (£9ph) however, if you are driving, please carry on further past the hotel along Regent Road where there is additional on street parking available (£4.60ph).  Alternatively, there is a Q-Park at the Omni Centre which is 10 minutes walk from the venue.
