The Executive Committee of the Eastern Division invite submissions for poster presentation at the Spring Conference of the Eastern Division on Friday 24 April 2026.

Poster Awards:

Prizes will be awarded for the best submissions in three categories:

  1. Medical Students/FY Trainees
  2. General Medical
  3. Multidisciplinary

Guidelines for Abstract Submission:

  • Format: Word document, no more than one A4 page (max 450 words). Abstracts exceeding this limit will be returned to the main author for revision
  • Title: Use bold text, do not include abbreviations
  • Details: Include the name, email address and employing organisation of the presenting author. Provide the name and grade (e.g. Medical Student, FY2, CT3) of all co-authors
  • Content: Where applicable state aims, methods, results, discussion, conclusions. References, tables and appendices are not required
  • Submission: Email abstract to division.events@rcpsych.ac.uk . Use the subject line: ED-24.04.26-[Your Name]-[Poster Title]
  • Deadline: Abstracts must be submitted by 27 March 2026 to be included in the abstract booklet. Submissions after this date may still be accepted but will not appear in the booklet.

Poster Guidelines:

  • Size: A0 (118 x 84cm) or smaller and in PORTRAIT layout (not landscape)
  • Display: Velcro and pins will be provided at the venue
  • Collection: Posters must be collected by presenters at the end of the conference
  • Topics: Posters may cover case reports, new research, audits, literature reviews, and other clinically significant subjects. Medical students and FY trainees can submit posters from any speciality in their category
  • Presentation: One winner from each category will deliver a 10-minute oral presentation at the conference. Selected presenters will be notified one week before the event to allow time for slide preparation.

Free Registration for Medical Students and FY Trainees

A limited number of free places are available for medical students and FY trainees. To secure free registration please contact division.events@rcpsych.ac.uk.

 

When visiting by car, the hotel is located 15 minutes from the M11 and about 20 minutes away from the A14.
