The organising committee reserves the right to change the programme without prior notice.
The RCPsych is an inclusive organisation with over 21,000 members who have a diverse range of views, which we look to represent across the programme. To further open dialogue, scientific discovery, and enrich learning, we provide our members with the opportunity to hear from a range of professionals. The speakers’, panellists’, and participants’ views and comments are their own and not the established views of the College.
Poster Competition
Each year the Northern and Yorkshire Division runs a poster competition for Medical Students, Foundation Doctors, Resident Doctors, SAS Doctors and Consultants at their annual Autumn Conference.
There are three winning categories:
- Best Medical Student/FY1 Poster
- Best FY2/Trainee Poster
- Best SAS Doctor Poster
Each winner will receive a £150 prize and a certificate of merit.
The deadline for entering abstracts closed on Friday 28 August 2025.
Displaying your poster:
- The title of the poster and the submitted abstract must match.
- The content of the poster must reflect the summary of information given in the abstract you provided when you made your application. Posters should be headed by the title and the names and affiliations of all authors.
- You need to be available during poster viewings (refreshment breaks and lunch) to provide assessors with more information about your presentation should they require it.
- Posters must be portrait orientation and no larger than A1 size.
- Posters are usually displayed on display boards which will be provided at the venue by the organisers. Organisers will provide material to help display your poster, but we advise you take spare materials with you (e.g. push-pins/sticky ‘Velcro’ pads/white tack - so that you will be able to attach your poster securely whatever the surface)
- You are responsible for putting up your poster and removing it at the end of the day – organisers cannot take responsibility for posters that are not taken down at the end of the event.
- Please arrive in good time to ensure that you have time to register and put up your poster before the event begins. You will be allocated a number for your poster, and you will receive a numbered flag when you register. It is your responsibility to make sure that your numbered flag is displayed on your poster when you place it on the poster board.
- Certificates will be presented to those who attend the conference to display the poster.
