Join us for this important webinar on 'Medicolegal Aspects of Brain Injury - Clinical, Legal and family perspective'. The event will be hosted by the West Midlands Division but is open to all members.

Speaker information

Prof Abbas Lohawala will be the main speaker for this event, alongside Satinder Hunjan KC, and Nicola Kitchener, Director of Affinity Law and Solicitor.

Prof Abbas Lohawala works as Consultant Neuropsychiatrist at BSMHFT and in private Practice and also leads the Brain Injury Module at the MSc Neuropsychiatry at University of Birmingham.

He has over 10 years of diverse medicolegal experience in immigration, criminal, family, personal injury and clinical negligence proceedings.

Presentation overview

The presentation will cover the classification, neuropsychiatric effects, legal challenges and family perspectives of a person with Brain Injury.

The key learning objectives will help delegates to;

Recognise the challenges in Brain Injury recognition, management, expert witness contributions and how courts deal with Brain Injury related litigation.

 

This event will be recorded and available to all registered delegates to watch on demand. The recording will be available within one week of the live event taking place and will be emailed out to all registered delegates. Copies of speakers' slides will be included with the recording, but only in cases where we have received permission from the speaker.
