PLAN Special Interest Day: Improving Flow in the Emergency Department (ED)

Event Information

This event will bring together clinicians, service leaders, and people with lived experience to explore current developments and best practice in the care of individuals presenting with self-harm and mental health needs in emergency settings.

Through a series of national, regional, and local case studies, attendees will hear key findings from the Royal College of Emergency Medicine's review of self-harm care, learn about improvements identified through the Getting It Right First Time (GIRFT) programme, and explore innovative service developments including liaison psychiatry co-location and emergency department streaming projects. The programme will conclude with a patient perspective, providing valuable insights into experiences of care and opportunities for continued improvement.

The full programme will be available soon.
