QNMHD resources
The QNMHD Standards (Second Edition) (pdf) outline best practice for the treatment of deaf service users of inpatient mental health services and reflect national recommendations on meeting the additional needs of this client group. The standards are developed in consultation with experts in the field, service users and carers, and incorporate the core standards for inpatient mental health services (pdf – link to core standards) developed by the CCQI.
We believe that it is important our standards reflect the issues that make a difference to the experience of the person using the service. For this reason, the standards follow a pathway through care and include how the service communicates with the patient, their carers and other agencies.
QNMHD and QNLD publish a biannual newsletter which contains the latest news on the projects, as well as contributions from our member services about the work they have been doing.
The project team are always looking for submissions for the next edition so if you have a project or innovation you would like to tell us about, or a piece of artwork created by your service users you want to share, please get in contact with us on qnmhdmembers@rcpsych.ac.uk
