We are pleased to announce that we are continuing to support the 2024 Urdd Eisteddfod’s Nant Caredig area, which this year is being expanded thanks to a new partnership between the Urdd and PABO, (Paid â Bod Ofn – transl. Don’t be afraid), a new project led by the band Eden.
As part of the partnership with PABO, the Urdd Eisteddfod will offer a 'Sa Neb Fel Ti’ (There’s no-one like you) stage in the Nant Caredig area - a wellbeing area presented for the first time at last year’s Urdd Eisteddfod in Carmarthenshire through the support of the Royal College of Psychiatrists Wales. Drawing on the title of one of Eden's songs, the 'Sa Neb Fel Ti' stage will be a place for individuals to perform without having to compete, to celebrate themselves and what makes them unique.
Llio Maddocks, the Urdd’s Arts Director says:
“The Urdd Eisteddfod is so pleased to announce this partnership with PABO, as we commit to creating an accessible and welcoming Maes for everyone. The work Eden does in discussing mental health, neurodiversity, and self-confidence is extremely important, and we look forward to sharing those messages with our children and young people.
“Eden is a phenomenon, has fans of all ages, and there will be something for everyone at the Urdd Eisteddfod in May. We will collaborate on Nant Caredig's activities with PABO and the Royal College of Psychiatrists to ensure that there’s a safe space beyond the competing, and a place to celebrate what makes you unique.”
This year, the Eisteddfod will be held at Mathrafal Farm between 27 May and 1 June.
