Addictions Credential Regional Lead
- Salary : 0.5 PA per week
This pivotal role will build collaborative networks, strengthen workforce initiatives, and ensure training provision is consistent, sustainable, and responsive to evolving service needs, in line with the 2022 curriculum.
Regional leads may also apply to be a mentor
Key responsibilities
- Establish and coordinate regional groups of doctors to deliver case-based discussions (CBDs).
- Develop local systems for data collection and reporting on CBD delivery.
- Contribute to educational initiatives including webinars and credentialing pathways.
- Support SAS doctors’ development and guide Higher Trainees towards consultant posts.
- Assist in developing trainee posts and job descriptions across NHS and third-sector providers.
- Provide quarterly reports to the Addiction Sub-Speciality Advisory Committee.
Applicants should demonstrate:
- Substantial clinical experience in addiction psychiatry.
- Leadership and organisational skills to establish regional networks.
- Experience in educational supervision, mentoring, or postgraduate training delivery.
- Knowledge of NHS and third-sector service structures.
- Strong communication and data management skills.
- Commitment to equity, diversity, inclusion, and innovation in education.
Eligibility: Open to doctors with substantial clinical experience in addiction psychiatry and a demonstrable commitment to service development, education, and leadership.
