Addictions Credential Regional Leads Coordinator

The Royal College of Psychiatrists (RCPsych) is seeking to appoint an Addictions Regional Leads Co-ordinator to provide national leadership in strengthening and advancing addiction psychiatry training.
This pivotal role will ensure high-quality educational delivery through coordinated networks of Regional Leads, fostering collaboration, advocating at key College meetings, and overseeing training initiatives. The co-ordinator will also support SAS doctors and higher trainees on their pathway to consultant posts, ensuring training provision remains aligned with evolving service needs.
Key responsibilities
- Chair the Addictions Regional Leads Network meetings, providing strategic direction.
- Represent the Network at College committees, including the Addiction SSAC.
- Provide leadership and oversight to Regional Leads delivering training.
- Oversee regional Case-Based Discussion (CBD) delivery and reporting systems.
- Guide educational innovation, including webinars and credentialing pathways.
- Support workforce development for SAS doctors and higher trainees.
- Contribute to trainee post development across NHS and third-sector providers.
- Provide quarterly reports to the Addiction SSAC.

Eligibility: Open to doctors with significant clinical experience in addiction psychiatry and a demonstrable commitment to service development, education, and leadership.
