The Royal College of Psychiatrists offers our support and sympathy to everyone affected by the devastating military action in Ukraine.

Military conflict can have a significant impact on the mental wellbeing of people on the ground and beyond, creating anxiety about the safety and welfare of loved ones, causing the breakdown of health services and society, and forcing many to flee.

Our thoughts go out to all affected.

Those who can are invited to donate money to The Red Cross Ukraine Crisis Appeal.

The College has produced a list of resources for use by psychiatrists who may be able to help others in relation to the ongoing crisis in Ukraine.

Members of our International Advisory Committee (IAC) have been in contact with national and international agencies to ascertain what practical support the College can offer.

The College is very grateful to all who’ve come forward after the call for volunteers. If more volunteers are needed a new call will be circulated.

We have also amended our logo across our social media channels, to show our support.
