Supporting Foundation Doctors

As Foundation doctors settle into their new roles or consider applying to specialty training, the College has run two recent events aimed at supporting their career decisions.

The Foundation Trainees’ Conference provided a broad overview of career options within psychiatry, including talks on dual training, exams and academic careers.

The Applying to Core Training webinar offered a detailed explanation of the practical application process as well as a talk from a recent core trainee on their experience of starting core training.

Both events – held in autumn 2024 – were recorded and are available on the College website via the links above.
