Dr Chrismerin Mathew

I want to get involved at a national level to make a meaningful impact to resident doctors and psychiatric doctor wellbeing. Resident doctor wellbeing is what I am most interested in as a topic for recruitment and retention. I also believe increasing awareness of college activities and clear communication is essential to ensure involvement and cohesion for resident doctors in the devolved nations. 

I love all aspects of psychiatry, and have enjoyed getting to know different specialties through experience in my rotations throughout core training. It makes it difficult to decide on one particular specialty for higher training but I am keeping my options open. I have a keen interest in medical education and am involved in the local teaching programme for students as well as at the University of Glasgow.

I enjoy going to the gym, dancing, reading and socialising with friends.
