Dr Rebecca Horne
Chair, Western Pacific Division
Rebecca was appointed to the role of Chair of the Western Pacific Division in 2026.
Rebecca trained at Charing Cross and Westminster Medical School and in Psychiatry in the Eastern Region. She worked as a Consultant Psychiatrist in the NHS for Norfolk and Suffolk Foundation Trust between 2005 and 2022 and has worked as a Consultant Psychiatrist for Queensland Health, Australia since 2022, both for Wide Bay Hospital and Health Services and Sunshine Coast Hospital and Health Services. She holds Fellowship of both the Royal College of Psychiatrists and Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists.
Rebecca has held RCPsych roles as a trainee and as an NHS Consultant, including on the RCPsych Executive Committee of the Women and Mental Health Special Interest Group, the RCPsych Collegiate Training Committee, RCPsych Eastern Division as Perinatal Regional Representative and Executive Committee of RCPsych Perinatal Faculty, being co-opted as an International Representative from 2022. From 2023 she has held the role of Vice Chair of the Western Pacific Division.
Rebecca is RCPsych representative on the Australian Alliance of Perinatal Mental Health, member of the Global Maternal Mental Health Alliance, and the Australasian and International Marce Society.
Rebecca believes in the importance of demonstrating collaborative clinical leadership, advocating strongly for inclusive high quality mental health care that is culturally sensitive. She supports ongoing improvements in mental health services co-designed and co-produced with those with lived experience and carers, that meets the needs of the communities served, recognising and challenging stigma.
